1. The Service

SnapLedger is an AI-powered expense tracking tool that helps you capture receipts, extract expense details, categorize spending, set budgets, and view analytics. Features may vary by plan, platform, and region.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

3. Accounts and Guest Mode

You may use certain features without creating an account (“guest mode”). Guest data may be stored locally on your device and may be lost if you delete the app or change devices.

If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

SnapLedger offers free and paid (“Pro”) plans. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device. Prices, billing cycles, and available plans are shown in the app and may vary by region and storefront.

• Free plans may include usage limits (such as a limited number of AI receipt scans).
• Pro plans may include a free trial where offered; trial terms are displayed at purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through your app store account settings before the renewal date.
• Refunds are handled according to the policies of Apple or Google, not directly by SnapLedger.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
• Upload content you do not have the right to process or share
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service
• Circumvent usage limits, paywalls, or security measures
• Use the Service to provide competing automated services

6. AI and Financial Disclaimer

SnapLedger uses automated and AI-assisted tools to extract and categorize expense data. Results may not always be accurate or complete. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all extracted information before relying on it.

The Service is not financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. Consult qualified professionals for decisions related to taxes, compliance, or financial planning.

7. Your Content

You retain ownership of receipts, images, and expense data you submit. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including software, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by SnapLedger or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or brand assets except as needed to use the Service.

9. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use poses risk to the Service or others. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will remain in effect.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY ACCURATE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPLEDGER AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $50.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be notified through the app or website. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence or the jurisdiction where SnapLedger is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
